A work born from the first ever collaboration between Festival Director Seiji Ozawa
and Matsumoto Performing Arts Center Artistic Director Kazuyoshi Kushida,
both of whose aim is a combined music and theatre performing arts festival.
We bring you a production of inspired direction, featuring a stunningly powerful
and distinguished cast, led by Kanji Ishimaru, in a story of hapless fortunes ensuing
from the interaction between a soldier and the devil.
